Convening of the First Meeting of the Academic Council at Stardom University
The first session of the Academic Council was held on Monday at 1 PM (Istanbul time), following the official decision to establish it as an accredited advisory academic body. The council is tasked with reviewing graduation outcomes, awarding academic degrees, and ensuring students meet all graduation requirements in accordance with international accreditation standards (AOAE).
Council Formation
Approved by the University’s Board of Trustees, chaired by Prof. Al-Shanti, the council includes deans of faculties, leaders from the Admissions and Registration Department, and the Quality Assurance Unit.
Council Responsibilities
Granting final academic approval for graduates (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD).
Verifying full compliance with academic requirements.
Reviewing recommendations from faculties and academic boards.
Approving graduate lists and issuing official certificates.
Awarding honorary degrees to distinguished individuals.
Ensuring graduation procedures align with international academic standards.
Meeting Schedule
– Regular sessions: Held three times annually (June, September, January).
– Emergency meetings: Convened as needed to address urgent matters.
Certificate Issuance Process
Endorsement of recommendations by the council.
Preparation of a report signed by the council chair.
Issuance of certificates with signatures from three authorities:

Official certificates are issued in Arabic and English.
