It plays a crucial role in interacting with individuals and groups within and outside the university. The department’s importance is highlighted through its role in building strong connections between university staff and the community, both locally and globally. It aims to enhance the university’s academic and research standing and highlight its leading role in serving the community. 

The Public Relations Department also strives to build bridges of cooperation and trust between the university and the local, regional, and international community. It seeks to strengthen external relations, disseminate knowledge, and engage with public opinion. The department’s vision is to achieve excellence and creativity in all aspects of its work. It upholds values such as freedom, respect, transparency, and responsibility and aims to achieve strategic goals. It acts as a cultural and social engine and a means of developing and gaining more partners and supporters who play a significant and active role in achieving the university’s objectives. 

These objectives include promoting the university’s role, providing its departments and faculties with the needs of the internal and external community, building a positive image of the university in society, and communicating with various media outlets to inform them of the university’s mission and goals and to provide them with news and activities happening at the university.

This is achieved through implementing various plans, programs, and activities aimed at gaining credibility and trust and striving to enhance the levels of belonging to the university among all its members. The mission of the Public Relations Department is to establish a bridge of communication and internal and external connections to introduce the community to the university, its faculties, activities, and various achievements. It aims to foster a work environment that encourages creativity, excellence, and idealism and to create a familial atmosphere that promotes affection and brotherhood among the university’s employees. The department also contributes to organizing events at the highest quality standards through a qualified and trained team skilled in using the latest communication and information technologies.

Objectives:

To define and clarify the university’s role and academic and research mission in serving the community.

To meet the community’s needs by providing the university’s departments and faculties with the necessary resources.

To build a positive global image that achieves the university’s strategic goals.

To engage with the community and meet its needs by providing information, facts, and statistics.

Communicate with various media outlets to inform them of the university’s mission and goals and explain the data and benefits the university offers to society.

To provide news, events, and activities at the university, its faculties, departments, and centers to various media outlets.

To enhance the department’s role in creating an advanced scientific and practical environment across all the university’s departments and units and to deepen the dissemination of knowledge among all its working teams by strengthening external cooperation and bolstering ties with specialized external entities.

Tasks:

Coordinating communication with external entities.

Covering and coordinating media relations for events and activities at the university.

Organizing reception and hospitality ceremonies.

Planning and coordinating internal and external university events.

Supervising the management of the university’s social media accounts.

Executing internal communication tasks within the university.
