Stardom University organized its first international conference on sustainability—themed “A More Sustainable Future”—via Zoom. The event brought together a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and specialists in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainability, along with their respective applications. The conference focused on exploring the challenges and solutions associated with AI and sustainability to achieve balanced development across economic and social sectors, while also highlighting the importance of AI and its role in realizing Sustainable Development Goals.
The conference opened with a keynote address by Dr. Ayman Ali Oglu, Head of the University’s Scientific Committee and Dean of the College of Computer Science. In his speech, he welcomed the guests and discussed the significance of AI and its applications.
The conference featured scientific sessions where researchers presented papers that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. The research topics included the following:
1- Stardom Scientific Journal for Educational and Psychological Studies, Stardom Scientific Journal for Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Deanship of the College of Education:
● “Digital Technology and Education Quality”: A study on the impact of digital technology on enhancing the quality of university education through modern educational techniques that foster student-teacher interaction and provide innovative learning resources; presented by researcher Yasser Qutb, a PhD student at Stardom University.
● “Electronic Games and Their Impact on Children”: An analysis of how electronic games affect children’s behavior and development, covering both potential benefits and negative effects; presented by researcher Dr. Jaafar Othman. ● “Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Psychoanalysis”: Research on using AI to enhance psychoanalytic methods, employing AI techniques to gain a deeper understanding of psychological disorders and provide effective therapeutic solutions (Researcher: Dr. Roaa Salahat).
2- Stardom Scientific Journal for Natural and Engineering Studies (Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science):
● “A Review of Reconfigurable Microstrip Antennas Using PIN and Varactor Diodes” (Researcher: Hammam Hussein).
● “Metamaterial Antenna for 5G V2X Satellite Communications in the Ku-Band” (Researcher: Mustafa Mahdi Ali).
● Researcher Mukhtar Al-Khamri participated with work on the “Triple Venus Dose” (Jar’at Al-Zuhra Al-Thulathiya), for which he obtained a patent.
● Another hypothesis by the same researcher regarding the cause of sea waves.
The second session of the conference opened with in-depth discussions and continued with presentations of advanced research covering various specialized topics:
● “Design of a Compact Reconfigurable Microstrip Antenna with a Defected Ground Structure for 5G Systems” (Researcher: Wasan Rasheed).
● “Development of a Water Sensor for Water Resource Management Using Advanced Technologies and AI” (Dr. Taha Aliwi).
3- Stardom Scientific Journal for Legal and Political Studies:
● “Climate Change, Migration, and Adaptation: The Impact of Migration on Socio-Cultural Transformation and Sustainable Development; and the Case of Syrian Refugees in Jordan” (Researcher: Nour Abzakh). 4- Stardom Scientific Journal for Economic and Administrative Studies and the Deanship of the College of Business Administration:
● “The Impact of AI-Enhanced Digital Marketing on Saudi Consumers” – by Abdulrahman Rassam, PhD candidate at Stardom University.
● “The Role of Digital Technology in Strengthening Effective Crisis and Risk Management Strategies in the Financial and Economic Sectors of Arab Countries” – by Dr. Mohammed Al-Tijani, PhD candidate at Stardom University.
● “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Business Management Efficiency: An Analytical and Applied Study” – by Mr. Khaled Jassim.

● Mr. Muawiya Elias: Founder and CEO of Arabia Media Hub, Sharjah, UAE (Topic: The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Arabic Language).
● Dr. Hamoud bin Mohammed Jaber: Head of the Tourism Department, King Khalid University (Topic: Sustainability: Importance and Applications).
● Prof. Dr. Azza Maher Mohamed: Professor of Tourism Business Management, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, University of Sadat City (Topic: Modern Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Its Applications).

At the conclusion of the conference,
Professor Dr. Khaled was honored. …Husseini, in recognition of his outstanding efforts to promote concepts of sustainability, alongside the presentation of certificates of appreciation to distinguished researchers and the authors of participating research papers. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants, emphasizing the importance of fostering international cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and sustainability.
