On Friday evening, Stardom University and Al-Qalam College of Science and Technology signed an academic partnership agreement in Cairo, Egypt, aimed at enhancing educational quality and strengthening joint academic and training programs. The signing ceremony was attended by prominent academic figures from both institutions, as well as specialists in higher education and scientific research. This collaboration is part of a long-term strategic vision to build an integrated academic future aligned with global developments in e-learning and scientific research. The agreement was signed on behalf of Stardom University by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saleh Al-Shanti, and Board Member Eng. Hassan Obeid; and on behalf of Al-Qalam College by the Postgraduate Studies Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Salam Sati, in the presence of representatives from both parties. Prof. Dr. Al-Shanti expressed his delight at the signing, describing it as a valuable opportunity to be leveraged to achieve the university’s aspirations, while commending both institutions’ roles in providing outstanding educational opportunities. “We are joining hands with our colleagues at Al-Qalam College—just as we have previously done with numerous academic and knowledge-based institutions,” Prof. Dr. Al-Shanti said. “However, what distinguishes this collaboration with the Al-Qalam family is our shared commitment to vital, defining goals. People from Sudan, Palestine, and many other nations are suffering from displacement caused by sudden disasters and unjust tragedies; it was therefore imperative that we extend a helping hand and provide them with accessible, affordable educational pathways.” For his part, Lt. Gen. Jalal El-Din Sheikh, a member of the Board of Trustees at Al-Qalam College, described the partnership with Stardom University as a “qualitative leap,” highlighting the agreement’s significance for both institutions. He emphasized that the educational relationship between Turkey and Sudan is both long-standing and dynamic, adding that “this agreement renews that history, bringing it up to date with contemporary, technological, and other modern developments.” This partnership marks a major step toward developing innovative, internationally accredited academic programs—spanning undergraduate and postgraduate studies—while offering advanced training opportunities for both students and faculty. It focuses on cultivating the technical and administrative skills needed to navigate academic and professional challenges and fosters research collaboration, opening new avenues for joint research in technology and innovation. For his part, Eng. Mohamed Obeid, CEO of Stardom University, thanked the professors, leaders, and administrators who turned this achievement into reality, expressing hope that the partnership would spark innovation and progress in education and scientific research. Obeid underscored the partnership’s significance in advancing knowledge and societal development, highlighting the value of exchanging expertise and insights. In his address, Eng. Hassan Obeid, a member of the Stardom University Board of Directors, discussed the partnership, emphasizing that the meeting represented a valuable opportunity that must be seized. The ceremony concluded with the honoring of key figures who played a pivotal role in fostering this collaboration; Stardom University presented its commemorative plaque to Al-Qalam College in recognition of their efforts to support and advance higher education and scientific research.
