Indeed, a preparatory year system is in place, and bachelor's program enrollment is contingent upon passing it. The English Preparatory School administers a "Proficiency Test" to assess students' English proficiency before admitting them to the Associate and Bachelor's degree programs.
Students who have passed foreign language exams administered by international organizations (TOEFL, GCE, CAMB, PROF, etc.) or determined by the English Preparatory School and have been admitted to institutions where English is the only language of instruction can also have their English proficiency level evaluated. Students whose language proficiency is insufficient and who fail the English placement exam are set up in preparation courses appropriate to their level of English. The English Preparatory School's placement test determines their degree of English proficiency. There is a maximum of two academic years for the entire training period in the preparatory classes.
Students admitted to graduate programs should be placed in English preparatory classes. Their transactions are carried out according to the provisions of the Graduate Education Regulations.
