Scientific Research

The Research and Publication Department is responsible for overseeing and supporting the quality of scientific research. Its goal is to encourage increasing the number of scientific papers published by faculty members and graduate students in prestigious global databases. Through this department, the university administration creates a conducive environment for scientific research by providing necessary facilities, supporting publications, and offering incentives for scientific publication to faculty members and researchers. This aims to motivate and encourage them to conduct scientific studies both within and outside the university. The Deanery of Scientific Research supports participation in peer-reviewed scientific conferences and seminars and organizes many conferences within the university.

The Deanery aims to be a beacon of activity in administration, organization, design, development, documentation, and excellence, making it capable of earning the satisfaction of researchers per global quality accreditation standards.

Objectives:

  • The Office of Scientific Research at Stardom University aims to achieve the objectives outlined in the research regulations and systems, as well as global quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.
  • Publish the Stardom University Research Journal.
  • Develop a promising generation of distinguished researchers and graduate students to achieve global recognition and excellence.
  • Collect information and build databases on scientific research within and outside the university.
  • Continuously encourage faculty members to engage in research and inquiry and to advance science and knowledge locally and regionally.
  • Facilitate collaboration between university researchers and research centers in the Arab world and globally by promoting joint research efforts.
  • Contribute to the transfer, localization, and development of modern technologies suitable for the university's disciplines.
  • Strategically plan for research production and regularly review plans.
  • Utilize all resources to produce scientific results that adhere to research ethics and are suitable for publication in internationally reputable scientific journals.
  • Enhance the competencies of faculty members in research methods and techniques to produce high-quality research with practical value for both regional and international communities.

Tasks of the Scientific Research Council at Stardom University:

  • Establish the general policies for scientific research at the university, implement them, develop research plans, and submit them to the Board of Deans.
  • Prepare necessary instructions for organizing, encouraging, coordinating, supporting, monitoring, evaluating, and disseminating scientific research.
  • Set the foundations and conditions required to protect Stardom University's and researchers' rights concerning scientific research and its results, ensuring alignment with intellectual property rights.
  • Discuss the annual estimated budget for scientific research.
  • Oversee the publication of specialized scientific journals or periodicals.
  • Approve financial support for research projects and the publication of scientific works submitted by faculty members and full-time lecturers.
  • Any other matters related to scientific research.
