Program Overview:

The specialization in psychological counseling is one of the most critical fields in the College of Education, receiving many applicants, especially those who wish to help individuals achieve compatibility. It is a science concerned with assisting individuals to attain personal and social compatibility and mental health. This specialization is one of the most significant branches of applied psychology, focusing on analyzing an individual's psyche, understanding their behavior, and determining their compatibility with themselves and the surrounding society.

The Bachelor of Psychological Counseling program at Stardom University aims to prepare psychological specialists through excellence in counseling and educational programs and to provide psychological and research consultations.

Mission:

  • Counseling and educational services should be offered by academic and social norms and requirements, and psychological knowledge should be spread in both theoretical and applied branches. I also help by providing recommendations and consultations aimed at lessening societal issues and enhancing the field of expertise in this specialization.

Program Objectives:

The Bachelor of Psychological Counseling program aims to:

  • Provide students with theoretical and professional foundations for counseling, therapeutic methods, and strategies.
  • Qualify specialists proficient in individual and group counseling who can apply and utilize these skills practically in work environments and with various groups.
  • Train students on using and employing contemporary theories and strategies to achieve mental health for individuals and groups.

  • Apply standard psychological tests and measurements in school communities and environments requiring psychological measures.
  • Apply fundamental concepts in the field of learning and its theories and their relation to higher mental processes, emotions, and patterns of educational services associated with study problems, as well as counseling methods, to address students' issues of various age groups and classifications to adapt to the academic environment.
