The sources of Islamic legislation have classifications, including:
1- Agreed and disagreed:
The sources of Islamic legislation or the evidence agreed upon among the public of scholars by induction are four: the Qur’an or Qur’an, the Sunnah, the consensus, and the analogy.
As for the sources of Islamic legislation that are disputed and which the majority of jurists did not agree on inferring from them, there are many, the most famous of which are seven, namely:
Approbation, reclamation or sent interests, companionship, custom, the doctrine of the Companion, legislated by us, and blocking pretexts.
2 Transportation and mental evidence:
Sharia sources or evidence are either anecdotal (i.e. based on the fixed story and the correct transmission) or mentality (based on mental ijtihad from those who have the faculty of ijtihad).
The transmission evidence : is the book, the Sunnah, the consensus, the custom, and it was prescribed by us, and the doctrine of the companion.
Mental evidence is measurement, sent interests, approbation, companionship, blocking or opening pretexts.
3 Independent and ancillary evidence:
These sources or evidence: either one of them is an independent asset by itself in legislation, which is the Qur’an, Sunnah and consensus, and what is related to them such as approbation, custom and the doctrine of the Companion, or it is not an independent asset by itself, which is measurement.
